After the Reno cleaners used the sink in there we think it started a leak. The kitchen is a total mess. Particle boards built over pipes. So we can't get to the leak without knocking down the cabinets. The floor is planks over carpet. Wet carpet = mould so this could be bad.
This house is so amazing but the renos that were done to it are completely astounding. The other side of the basement had outdoor planks and sconces on the walls.
Light switches don't work or control really random lights. Our dryer won't start. The bathroom situation is odd to say the least. The upstairs toilet is up two steps. We call it the throne and it's totally ridiculous and somewhat dangerous.
We are no longer living out of boxes which is nice. We've gotten mostly unpacked now and starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel (or maybe not now with impending suite kitchen leakage.)
I only momentarily wish we had bought one of those cookie cutter development houses. It would be terribly boring but not so breakey.
I need a list of good things about it so I feel less sick.
-location is ideal
-surrounded by trees
-front porch and porch swing
-so much space
-the perfect kitchen
-the grand staircase
-all the wood accents
-the fact that aki said he loves our new house
